085c3n3 is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist based in Brisbane. His practice focuses on the application of aerosol stencils, paste-ups, stickers, large-scale projections and zine making. 085c3n3 has produced major public art projects and exhibited extensively across Australia including a number of key institutions and galleries. He was recently commissioned by the State Library of Queensland to produce a work for the State collection.
085c3n3 work delves into 70’s nostalgia, tracing elements of a childhood where Monster Movies, Drive In Theatres, Video Stores, Glam, Heavy Metal, Punk Rock, Saturday Morning Cartoons, Home Tiki Bars and Muscle Cars all culminate to become cornerstones of his unique visual style. In addition to the evident pop culture iconography, his works also reveal a low-fi ‘authenticity’ in terms of creative process where he often utilises redundant and obsolete techniques and equipment to achieve his distinct creative creations. 085c3n3 currently co-hosts the successful weekly bgrade, punk rock, street trash podcast – Wastelands Radio Show available on all the podcast platforms.
